Rubber Hydraulic Hoses

Advantages: Rubber hoses offer excellent flexibility and bend radius performance, making them ideal for tight routing in mobile equipment and construction machinery. They provide superior vibration dampening and noise reduction. Rubber’s elasticity allows it to absorb pressure surges and shock loads effectively. The PTFE core is chemically inert, withstands virtually all industrial chemicals, and operates continuously from -73°C to +260°C.

Advantages: Near-universal chemical resistance makes PTFE the only viable option for highly aggressive media. The exceptional temperature range covers cryogenic to high-heat applications. PTFE’s non-stick surface minimizes deposit buildup and ensures clean fluid transfer. Stainless steel braiding provides excellent pressure capability with minimal moisture absorption.

Limitations: PTFE hoses are significantly more expensive than rubber or thermoplastic alternatives. They have higher bend radius requirements, demanding more generous routing space. PTFE is prone to kinking if bent beyond specifications. The construction offers limited vibration absorption compared to rubber.
